The Allied Arts Council of Pincher Creek is excited to present John Wort Hannam and Friends, a free evening of live music on the Lebel Mansion grounds!
Folks of all ages are invited to join us on Friday, July 31st starting at 6:00pm as we celebrate the music of the 2026 Alberta Artist in Residence, John Wort Hannam, while also showcasing some great familiar local faces- stay tuned as we share these special guests over the next few weeks.
Juno nominated musican John Wort Hannam has been on a roots-fueled troubadour journey for over two decades, spinning songwriting gold from the chaff of the lives he encounters and those within his fertile imagination. After twenty plus years, he shows no sign of slowing down, winning the 2023 Canadian Folk Music Award for both Solo Artist and Contemporary Album of the Year. Audiences and critics alike hear something special in his narrative, lyrically driven songs.
We can't wait to share an evening of live music outdoors here at the Lebel once again after a two year hiatus!

The Allied Arts Council of Pincher Creek is excited to share our upcoming
Everyone Has a Story Songwriters workshop with
Alberta Artist in Residence John Wort Hannam
This FREE workshop will take place at The Annex - conference room, 753 Kettles Street Pincher Creek, AB T0K 1W0 on August 1 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
"Everyone Has A Story” is a songwriting workshop designed for Albertans of all backgrounds and all levels. This project will guide participants through the creative process of songwriting- from idea generation to final composition. (It is important to note that participants do not need to play an instrument or sing - this workshops focuses on song lyrics.)
"Participants will work towards creating a song that is based on a personal story or personal experience because I believe that when we tell our own stories and listen to each other’s stories, we can connect and when there's connection, we develop bonds. If we understand our neighbours, particularly if our communities are diverse culturally, politically and/or religiously, then we can develop empathy and compassion for our fellow Albertans. With these powerful emotions, we can attain stronger communities and more joyful lives."
This event is free but does require you to sign up online HERE as space is limited to 24 spots. We encourage folks 18+ to sign up soon!
